I am always amazed at how much information the Word of God communicates in so few Words. Check out all the Titles and Tasks of Jesus in chapter 1 of John: •	The Word (v1) •	God (v1) •	Creator (v3 and v10) •	Life (v4) •	Light of men (v4) •	The Light (v5) •	Gives the right to become children of God (v12) •	Became flesh (v14) •	Dwelt among us (v14) •	Only Son from the Father (v14) •	Brings Grace and Truth (v17) •	The Lord (v23) •	The Lamb of God (v 29 and v36) •	Takes away the sin of the world (v29) • The Spirit descended on Him (v32 and v33) •	Baptizes with the Holy Spirit (v33) •	Son of God (v34 and v49) •	Rabbi (Teacher) v38) •	The Messiah (v41) •	The Christ (v41) •	The One wrote of in the Law (v45) •	The One wrote of in the Prophets (v45) •	Jesus of Nazareth (v45) •	King of Israel (v49) •	Son of Man (v51) The Word of God is truly a Living Word as it says (Hebrews 4:12), you can read a text several times and God will have something heavy land on you that you did not give much thought to before. That happened to me this morning as I read, “the Word became flesh”. GOD THE SON BECAME FLESH! That means He did not exist as flesh before, He existed in some other “state”. He is different than us, we have always been flesh, He became flesh. He left His Heavenly home and BECAME FLESH! Wicked men destroyed His flesh to the point where He was unrecognizable. In that flesh He suffered beyond measure that His Blood would cleanse us from our sin and satisfy the Wrath of God on our behalf. When Jesus said, we must “eat His flesh” (John 6:53) He is saying you must trust in His finished work in the flesh to redeem you from the Wrath you deserve. Thank You Jesus!
