Consider the Humility of Christ Here

Mark 1:13 And he was in the wilderness forty days, being tempted by Satan. And he was with the wild animals, and the angels were ministering to him.

Put this in perspective. Jesus is the Creator - all things were created by Him and for Him - including angels.

Here we see, the most glorious angel He created, Lucifer, is allowed to tempt Him for 40 days. Jesus, although God, did not grasp on to His deity in those 40 days, but as a man, resisted Satan's attempt to provoke Him to call upon His deity.

Then after the 40 days, after having nothing to eat or drink, angels ministered to Him.

Jesus humbled Himself to the point where He allowed His creation to lead Him, tempt Him, and minister to Him.

If we desire to be as Christ - humility is our chief need - Help us Lord!

Interesting how Jesus was baptized by John, the Spirit came upon Him, God spoke of His love and how pleased He was with His Son and then immediately the spirit sent Him to the desert to be tempted by Satan...This seems to speak to the significance of the power of God. Almost a show of force. Like, “here is my Son evil one...I am in Him. What ya got tough guy?”
