Just a quick note...I am about 10 minutes in to a message from Tim Conway entitled Our Lord's Most Aggressive Command for Holiness. He made a couple points that I would like to share.
The main message is discussing the imagery Jesus gives about cutting off hands, feet, and gouging out eyes showing the severity and urgency regarding our approach to sin.
Jesus appealed to people in various ways, but He always appealed to their bests interest, and their best interest was to avoid hell.
Those who go to Heaven attack their own sin right at the root cause
If you are casual about sin you are in danger
That last statement really hit me hard so I thought I'd do a short word study on the word "casual":
Do any of these words describe your view your current sin? What about your past sin?
Would these words better describe your approach to your sin?:
don't take lightly
